With our many years’ experience in designing and publishing special commemorative books, we are currently producing the 85th anniversary publication of Shuqun School(树群中学). Also in the pipeline are two other publications.
The first is for Sembawang Shipyard(胜宝旺造船厂) in celebration of the continuous contributions of its workers after more than 40 years. The second is on the history of the Kreta Ayer People’s Theatre (牛车水人民剧场) which is marking its 40th year. Our other publications in the past include those for artists and the National Archives.
This publication is a gift that is 1 year in the making, the culmination of a miracle of 85 years of toil and hope. It is an attempt at documenting the development of our school as it morphed from Tuan Cheng School to Seh Chuan School, Seh Chuan High School and eventually to Shuqun Primary School and Shuqun Secondary School. Between these pages are recorded the life-touching stories of local community leaders with a heart for education as well as dedicated educators, of their intimate relationship with the Seh Chuan - Shuqun family. This momentous publication is a humble tribute to all those who have laboured with the schools through all these years with unwavering love, patience and forbearance.
